Worship and Word

A service at St Philip's Collingwood

Weekly Worship

Sundays: 10 am at St Philip's.

Wednesdays: 10.30 am except first Wed. of the month at Rushall Park.

The fifth Sunday (e.g. Aug.Nov.) we have a Contemplation Service at 10 am.

Life and Contemplation

Our Holy Trinity Windows were designed by Christopher John from Red Phoenix Glass. The largest window in the group is the Tree of Life. Christopher John sees this as a metaphor of the Holy Spirit, the life-giving essence of God, at work in the heavens and also where we live, work and meet in Collingwood (Yalla-birr-ang) and Abbotsford (Carran-carramulk, along the Yarra River) at one of the traditional meeting places of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people.

You are welcome to come and use these inspiring windows to help in your contemplation or to walk our labyrinth out the back.
As with the story of Martha and Mary of Bethany, we see action and reflection as both important in a healthy and dynamic life of faith.

Every month with 5 Sundays, we have a special Contemplation Service at 10am where we mix music, art, poetry and the Word, with silence, meditation and reflection.
